Sanding between coats allows the next layer to adhere better. Use incredibly fine sandpaper or “0000” metal wool to sand the area. Wipe the area down once more with a dry fabric to prepare it for the next coat. We've contacted the homeowners and they are currently dealing with them to come to the resolution.
